Calling all women winter warriors, the BMC is looking for talented female winter climbers to take part in an exchange program with young Slovenian climbers on 12-19 February 2017. Find out the full details below.

This will be an excellent opportunity for ambitious winter climbers to share their experiences, make international connections and expand their skills.

Join a mixed gender team and help introduce our Slovenian friends to the delights of winter climbing in Scotland. The first stage of the exchange will take place on 12-19 February this year and will be based out of the Alex MacIntyre Hut in Glen Coe, and then Glen Nevis Youth Hostel.

The week will involve six days on the hills climbing, with each host paired with a Slovenian visitor, plus educational and social evening sessions. Participants will then have the opportunity to winter climb in Slovenia next year in 2018.

Details

When: 12-19 February 2017.

Where: Alex MacIntyre Hut, Glen Coe, Scotland (Slovenian return week in 2018).

Who For: Experienced winter climbers under 35, ideally solid at grade V or above, or with TD or more alpine experience.

Cost: £100 for the week.

If you are interested then please send a summary of your experience to Nick Colton at nick@thebmc.co.uk
