The Welsh Government have announced that due to the improving coronavirus situation in Wales dates for the return of sport have been brought forward.

Following pressure from sports bodies, including BMC, Welsh Government have released a statement, relaxing Covid restrictions in Wales sooner than expected given the improving picture.
From May 3rd :
• Indoor sporting facilities, including gyms, leisure centres and swimming pools will be able to reopen on the 3 May for individual activity, previously it had been the 10th May.
• Gatherings of up to 15 indoors for exercise classes etc will return on the 17th May, as previously planned.

With both the rate of infection and the number of hospital admissions from Covid dropping quickly in Wales (which now has the lowest infection rates in the UK), Welsh Government carried out its three-weekly review of the Public Health Regulations and its associated guidance for Wales.
In brief, the new regulations state:
An end to the stay local rules, effective from Saturday March 27th. People living in Wales can travel anywhere within Wales for the purpose of excercise, recreation or to holiday.
Cross border travel, either to or from England, for exercise or recreation is permitted from April 12th.
Fully self contained holiday accomodation can re-open but only if fully self-contained.Some campsites are open for those with fully self contained camper vans or motorhomes or who can demonstrate thay are fully self-contained including toilet tent and water supply.
Six people from six separate households are allowed to meet outdoors.
Organised outdoor activities for up to 30 adults, such as club meets are now permitted.
Organised sports for U18's are now permitted but must be formally organised by an NGB, a club or organsiation.
Some popular areas have bylaws and local restricions in place that prohibit overnight roadside or car park camping (e.g. Pembrokshire) and these are likley to be strongly enforced.
What to expect next?
Campsites and other shared acomodation are likley to be allowed to open from May 17th.
