Tremadog Parking Update

Posted by Thomas Carrick on 25/05/2022

Yn dilyn y newyddion yn gynharach eleni, bu newid diweddar yn yr oriau agor ar gyfer y Maes Parcio ar safle Glampio Cowshed ir Hadfer. Following the post earlier this year, there has been a change in the opening times for the Car Park at the Cowshed at Hadfer Glamping site.

Please Scroll down for the English

Mae’r maes parcio ar agor ar hyn o bryd rhwng 8am ac 8pm ac yn cael ei reoli gan ‘Countrywide Parking’ gyda system ANPR. Telir am barcio trwy ddefnyddio ap JustPark, trwy neges destun neu dros y ffôn, dilynwch y cyfarwyddiadau ar yr arwyddion. Mae'r gost yn dibynnu ar y cyfnod parcio a archebwyd. Bellach gellir cadw lleoedd parcio drwy ap JustPark. Hoffem annog yr holl ddringwyr sy’n dymuno dringo ar Fwlch y Moch i ddefnyddio’r maes parcio a chefnogi busnesau lleol, gan fod parcio ar hyd yr ymyl yn dod yn beryglus ar ddiwrnodau prysur.

Os oes anffawd yn digwydd i’ch grwp (yn ôl ar ôl 8pm) cysylltwch â Just Park ar 0800 999 1032.

I gael manylion pryd mae’r Cowshed ar agor am fwyd ewch i’r wefan cowshed.wales. Ar hyn o bryd maen nhw'n gweini Pieminister Pies, diodydd, cacennau a byrbrydau gyda siopau cludfwyd ar gael.

Mae toiledau ar gael yn The Cowshed (y caffi gynt), i gwsmeriaid, pan fydd ar agor. Caniateir mynediad i'r safle Glampio neu'r maes parcio i westeion Glampio yn unig ac mae'r toiledau cyhoeddus agosaf ym Mhorthmadog ei hun.

Mae’r maes parcio hefyd yn fan codi ar gyfer y gwasanaeth bws Sherpa sy’n mynd trwy Croesor a Nant Gwynant i Ben y Pass.

________________________________________________________________________

The car park is currently open from 8am to 8pm and is managed by Countrywide Parking with an ANPR system.  Payment for parking is made by the use of the JustPark app, by text or by phone, just follow the instructions on the signs. The cost is dependant on the period of parking booked. Parking places can now be reserved via the JustPark app. We would like to encourage all climbers wishing to climb on Bwlch Y Moch to use the car park and support local businesses, as parking along the verge is becoming dangerous on busy days.

If you have an epic (back down after 8pm) please contact Just Park on 0800 999 1032.

For details of when the Cowshed is open for food please check the website cowshed.wales. Currently they serve Pieminister Pies, drinks, cake & snacks with takeaways available.

Toilets are available in The Cowshed (formerly the café), for customers, when it is open. Access onto the Glamping site or it car park, is only allowed to Glamping guests and the closest public toilets are in Porthmadog itself.

The car park is also a pick up point for the Sherpa bus service which goes via Croesor and Nant Gwynant to Pen Y Pass.

Tremadog Rockfall: Big changes

The classic VS climbs, Shadrach and the Brothers at Craig Bwlch y Moch are sadly no more. As previously reported, some very loose dangerous blocks were identified on these routes. After a thorough inspection, the BMC had no option but to commission a professional rock-engineering company to remove the blocks. Further works remain to be done and the area remains unstable - keep clear until the works are completed!
