Tell us what you think is the future of our National Parks

The BMC would like to know what you think about some of the key proposals that government have put forward to help protect and improve our English National Parks and Areas of Outstanding National Beauty (AONBs) for future generations.

In January this year, government published its response to the ‘Glover’ review which was an independent review (2019) into whether the protections for National Parks and AONBs in England are still fit for purpose.

Overall, the BMC welcomes the tone of the recent government response but believes that a stronger commitment to level up access to our most treasured landscapes is needed, providing everyone with the opportunity to explore these landscapes and help improve the health and wellbeing of the nation.  A more detailed article looking at the Government response can be accessed here.

In order to shape our full response to the public consultation which is currently out (deadline for submissions is 9th April), we have posed 5 questions asking for your thoughts on some of the key questions in this document.
