Peak District Grit: now ready to show you the way!

Posted by Alex Messenger on 22/07/2020

The latest BMC guidebook, Peak District Grit – is now on the shelves and waiting to lead you to the best the gritstone has to offer.

This blockbusting volume showcases the finest routes from all the BMC gritstone definitives and packs the classics from across the grades and across the Peak. From east to west, all the best.

Ian Carr, chairman of the BMC’s Guidebook Committee, and main editor of the book said:

“I think we are particularly proud of this book as it’s the culmination of all the work we have done on Peak grit over the years. And to see all the best climbs on page after page is really exciting.”

The book covers everything trad - from Eastern royalty - Stanage, Froggatt, Curbar and Millstone - to the Western bastions - the Roaches, Ramshaw and Hen Cloud. From the cosy edges of the Burbage Valley to the wild heights of Kinder, Bleaklow and the Chew Valley. Fifty crags, 2,500 trad routes. It’s a lifetime of inspiration.
