The January 2015 issue of the BMC Peak Area newsletter is now online, keeping you informed about what’s happening in the region.
In this issue: positive developments at Stanage North Lees; a review of access routes in the SW Peak as part of a major initiative supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund; concerns about the proliferation of new fencing on the moors; and plans for the 2015 BMC Equity Symposium which will be held in Castleton in May. Newly appointed area hill walking rep Peter Judd brings us to speed on progress with the BMC’s hill walking strategy, and to transport you momentarily from the long dark winter nights, Rob Greenwood reports on his trip to Australia and climbing at the legendary Mount Arapiles.
