The next Peak Area Meeting is on Wednesday 13 April 2016, starting at 7.30pm, at The Maynard, Main Road, Grindleford, Derbyshire S32 2HE.
Come along to our regular gathering of Peak climbers and walkers, to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC. The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in your area as well as the rest of the country.
Claire Carter talk and Operation Moffat film
Guest speaker at the area meeting is Claire Carter, co-director with Jen Randall of Operation Moffat, the award-winning BMC TV film, which takes its inspiration and wit from the colourful climbing life of Britain’s first female mountain guide, Gwen Moffat.
Free supper provided by the BMC. All are welcome.
See the BMC Local Areas site for more details about the meeting
The Peak Area newsletter is written and produced by volunteers from the BMC Peak Area. After eight years and 32 issues, Martin Wass has handed over the reins to Simon Lee and John Coefield – many thanks to Martin for such dedicated service, and to Simon and John for continuing to produce such a great resource.
