Off Piste Essentials shows the essential skills and techniques for off piste skiing.

It follows a group of skiiers in Austria. See how they develop their off piste skills, before embarking on a multi-day ski tour in the mountains.

Filmed in Austria, the skills and techniques shown are relevant to ski touring in all glaciated terrain. The film and accompanying technical chapters provide almost four hours of expert information and advice, which is applicable to all off piste skiers and ski tourers, whatever their level of experience.

 Off Piste Essentials has been jointly produced by Plas y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre, the BMC and the Mountaineering Council of Scotland.
