The venue comprises the eastern walls of an extensive disused quarry, a significant number of lines have been bolted.

The venue is being developed for sport climbing by local activists. Attemts to establish ownership have been unsuccessful (up to Jan 2019) and climbers are advised to keep their activities discreet until more formal access arrangements can be negotiated.
Parking and Approach
From Stanhope take the B6278 up towards Crawleyside. When heading up the hill, there is a sharp right hand bend at NY991400, turn left down a lane. There is parking for a number of cars after approximately 100m and more further on. There are residential properties on the lane and the area is very popular with dog walkers, etc so please park with consideration.
Due to the sensitive access situation, group use is not advised.
