Only a few worthwhile climbs but some are Culm hidden gems amidst the usual intriguing rock scenery. Easily approached along the beach from Compass Point, or down a decent path at the south end of that beach. Sea-washed and inescapable at high tide. Belaying at the top of the main pillar requires cunning due to a lack of stakes.
Parking and Approach
Head for the southern arm of Bude Haven. Drive along the narrow lane on the S bank of the Bude canal. At the end there is limited parking by a turning circle.
Walk through the white gate, towards the Compass Tower 100m beyond. Walk south along the coast path and then follow a path down to the pebble beach at the southern end of the bay and walk along the beach to the pillars.
