Hazel Findlay climbs Magic Line, her hardest and most beautiful route yet
Within just six weeks, Hazel Findlay has successfully headpointed Magic Line 5.14c R in Yosemite Valley, a 35m crack which she describes as the 'hardest and most beautiful line' she has tried and equivalent to 'E10 for sure'. It can be hard to directly translate top-end American grades, but this is an 8c trad route. Hazel added, "To give you an idea of how hard this route was for me, the lower boulder crux is the hardest boulder problem I’ve ever done."

Youth Ready to Rock Trad Climbing Course
The Youth Ready to Rock Trad climbing course is designed to help young climbers (11-17 year olds) make their first moves onto rock by having a fun day out, as well as covering the use of some key skills and equipment, for both the participant and the parent/carer. Trad climbing is the most popular style of climbing on British crags.

Performance sport climbing days for young people
These courses will be run by Ian Dunn who has many years of experience sport climbing. Ian is a Development Coach. Ian really enjoys sport climbing and has climbed extensively in the UK, Europe and Thailand, he also loves passing on knowledge to others and seeing climbers push themselves and achieve their goals. Ian has run many workshops and Sport Climbing Courses for The BMC.
Access conference: Changing behaviours requires inspiration, dialogue and trust
Be better as a community of outdoor representatives to share good practice messages. This was one of the key messages from the BMC conference on Changing Behaviours.

This programme provides training, support and advice to the members and officers on club committees and is suitable for new and longer-standing committee members.
