Paul Tierney breaks 214-peak Wainwright record
Last week, Paul Tierney summited every one of the 214 peaks that feature in Alfred Wainwright’s iconic, seven-volume guide to the Lakeland fells - in one go. BMC/BMMS Mountain Medicine Weekend 2022 Report
For several years Hathersage has, for one weekend in June, been the venue for the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) and British Mountain Medicine Society (BMMS) joint course for lay mountaineers on all aspects of Mountaineering Medicine. Further works remain to be done and the area remains unstable - keep clear until the works are completed!

Here's how he did it and a bit more about the Loughborough-based climber. This isn't Jesse's first sea stack. It's not his biggest achievement, either...
Sport climbing one step closer to inclusion in Paris 2024 Olympics
On June 25, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) voted unanimously in favour of including sport climbing in the summer Olympic Games in Paris. Surfing, skateboarding and breaking (break-dancing) have also been provisionally voted in. If sport climbing does make it to Paris 2024, the competition format is likely to be different, allowing more athletes to compete and offering more chances to win medals.
