The Climbing Wall Manufacturers' Association (CWMA) exists to provide for the highest standards in construction, supply and maintenance of artificial climbing structures.
There are now indoor climbing walls in schools, leisure centres and even cruise ships, but developing a climbing wall is a complex process. Design, construction and safety all need to be considered.
Using a CWMA member ensures the wall will meet both your needs and the exacting standards set down in European regulations (CEN 12572-1).
CWMA members are required to meet rigorous standards before joining, and are subject to annual audits to ensure they continue to meet necessary standards.
The association also provides a forum to discuss technical developments, and also has a dispute resolution mechanism to resolve conflicts between clients and members in the rare circumstances where a problem has arisen.
CWMA liaises with the BMC, government departments and agencies, and other bodies whose work affects climbing walls.
