The last part of the west coast cliff right on the bill of Portland. Tuck below the MOD fence is collection of walls and zawns. home to some tough short sports route and fine DWS in the right condistions!

Make your way through the crowns of tourists and down below the MOD fence, you will find and peacful suntrap, though not a place to be in rough seas.

Edge along the cliff top over weird conglomerate bridges (these are geologically significant prehistoric raised beeches, so tread carefully) to absiel points to access the zawns. ( DO NOT attach to the MOD Fence at any point)

The tide can race around these buttresses and rocks are exposed at low tides, be cautious when Deep Water soloing.

A large rock fall ocoured in 2021 at the northen end only destorying one route, but affecting the nesting sites in the Senctuary zone. Other smaller rock falls have altered routes in resent years.

Restrictions apply from 1 March - 15 July.

Reason: Nesting Birds

Due to the rockfall in 2021 the Ravorbill colony has move south and are now using the Memories Zawn area. No climbing on routes north of 'Until the End of Man' to avoid destrubing during nesting. You can be seen by the bird watches on the bill.

Parking and Approach

Large Pay car Park and Public toilets at Portland Bill. They do check ticket regularly.
