The South East side of the West Hill is a sandstone cliff that rises around 50m in a number of tiers from a flat grassy area at the bottom. It faces the sea and is a lovely suntrap. The sun-facing rocks dry quickly, however, the opposite sides remain damp for a lot longer. The routes that have been produced so far range from f3-f6b. With plenty of scope for many more climbs of similar grades or harder.Take a second rope for belays. Also take a brush, as unfortunately the local kids think it is funny to smash glass on the rocks. I advise checking the top outs of climbs first to make sure they are clean.NOTES1. I have used the font grade to keep in line with the general trend of the area (as I see it.) However, if people think grades should be in UK Technical please let me know.2. Also, feedback on the appropriateness of the climbs grades would be much appreciated... :)
