Thrope Moor End Crags

Yorkshire Gritstone

40 metres south of Thrope Hedgehog Block with which it forms a group properly to be called Thrope Moor End Crags about 5 metres from foot to top of climbs. Deeply undercut, clean solid grit with, so far, one climb on the undercut southern arete.

Parking and Approach

Can be approached from the Lofthouse Leighton Reservoir Road by taking the first signed path going north at the top of the hill then walking SW across the heather until the top of the plantation comes into view. Occasional shooting restrictions on this open access land at certain times are signposted. Can also be gained by walking back south from the main Thrope Edge. Quite near the path but not obvious from above.
