Climber have been challenged regarding access here in the past. As the crag is on access land though climbers are within their right to politely refuse any requests to stop climbing or leave. The exception to this would be if a temporary restriction has been put in place by the landowner (up to 28 days are allowed each year), if this is the case though this should be well signposted to anyone approaching the crag.
Parking and Approach
The farmer below the crag is opposed to climbers crossing his land and there are notices about this. Parking is available at the top of chimney bank, where a walk north for around 15 minutes along the old railway line brings you to the moor above the crag, it is best to use a ordinace survey map to find it. It would be nice to give this crag a clean up some time.
