The punctuation boulders

Snowdonia

A selection of small boulders within a tranquil setting. The landings are generally excellent if a little marshy after rain and despite its humble appearance this small area probably contains the best V1 in the pass.

Parking and Approach

Park at the higher lay by as for the Grochan. Either cross the stream and head directly up the fell side until you reach a disused old building and sheep enclosure just right of the cottage.(15 mins) or reach the same point from the good track that leads up to the cottage from the bridge further up the road.(drier and better)
Area information

A wide range of cliffs - mainly traditional and multi pitch inc. the popular Llanberis Pass, Idwal Slabs, Clogwyn du'r Arddu and Cwm Silyn cliffs, but also outlying outcrops such as Carreg Alltrem. Many crags are on CROW access land - but not all especially some of the outcrops which lie on private enclosed land. Most of central Snowdonia is both designated an SSSI and also is an European Special Area of Conservation on account of the upland habitat and associated geology and plants found here.
