A big gritstone crag (almost 30m at its highest) of variable quality, generally friable lower down but better higher up. A steep vegetated bank gives finishes to most of the routes. Dismissed in the past because of its friable, blocky appearance it nevertheless provides some very good, sometimes adventurous, climbing. Some large dubious blocks need care.
