Nant Peris Circuit Boulders

Snowdonia

A collection of boulders scattered across the fell side that lend themselves to a bit of a circuit. They catch all of the available sun (when it decides to show up) and the landings are generally good. One mat usually will suffice.

Parking and Approach

Park in nant and walk up the pass. Before you reach the first cottage on your left is a public footpath sign by the road liable to flooding sign. Go up the hill rightwards to the skyline until the first boulder is seen. 5 mins. The second boulder is a further 8 mins up and reached by going over to the sheep pens and following the tree line up until a large single tree is seen just up to the right. The boulder is just behind it.
Area information

A wide range of cliffs - mainly traditional and multi pitch inc. the popular Llanberis Pass, Idwal Slabs, Clogwyn du'r Arddu and Cwm Silyn cliffs, but also outlying outcrops such as Carreg Alltrem. Many crags are on CROW access land - but not all especially some of the outcrops which lie on private enclosed land. Most of central Snowdonia is both designated an SSSI and also is an European Special Area of Conservation on account of the upland habitat and associated geology and plants found here.
