A nicely weathered 8m high tor, a big sloping slug, and a small but interesting quarry in the moorland above Surprise View. Good bouldering including the classic Conan the Librarian (6B+).

Parking and Approach

Park or alight at Surprise View car park, between the Fox House Inn and Hathersage on the A625 at SK 253801 and head uphill. The quarry is passed as the path levels out, Mother Cap is not far behind (10 min).
