Crag newydd, yn llawn addewid, er ei bod yn fudr, ac ychydig yn fwsoglyd.The large rock formation on the top of Moel Tryfan.Immediately obvious, there are several large boulders sat on the peak surrounded by smaller ones. A brand new crag full of promise, despite being dirty and a little mossy at present. Good potential.If the formation is in fact not a new crag, and has been climbed before, please let us know.

Parking and Approach

Mae mynediad o gyfeiriad Rhosgadfan, y Fron, neu o ochr bella Chwarel Uwch Gwyrfai.Ni ddylai unrhyw un fynd yn agos at y chwarel, oherwydd y gwaith diwydiannol trwm sy'n digwydd yno ar y funud.Access is a pleasant path from either Rhosgadfan, y Fron, or the far end of Uwch Gwyrfai Quarry. This quarry should be avoided due to heavy industrial work currently being undertaken.

Area information

A wide range of cliffs - mainly traditional and multi pitch inc. the popular Llanberis Pass, Idwal Slabs, Clogwyn du'r Arddu and Cwm Silyn cliffs, but also outlying outcrops such as Carreg Alltrem. Many crags are on CROW access land - but not all especially some of the outcrops which lie on private enclosed land. Most of central Snowdonia is both designated an SSSI and also is an European Special Area of Conservation on account of the upland habitat and associated geology and plants found here.
