The main wall dries quickly in summer and is something of a suntrap.

Parking and Approach

Walk from Horton in Ribblesdale. Ascend the Pen-y-Ghent footpath.  Follow this path for 2km. Continue striaght forward though a gate and follow the dirt track straight forward. The vast lime pothole will appear at your feet. ABSEIL DESCENT Recommended. Bolts located next to the 'stream'.
