Parking and Approach
Heading west out of Elton take first right (Cliff Lane)and park just after the corner with bench, gate & water trough. Follow the path below the big (Harthill) quarry, on the left hand path, over a style and across the fields to the crag visible beyond the tress. Take extreme care not to damage the wall when crossing to reach the rocks.
The 'Filthy Crag Q/Rock Woods' area is in wood above Rock Farm, to the SW of the main crag. The most discrete approach for here is to continue along the public footpath from the quarry until a barn is reached, then drop down left through two fields and enter the woods near its NW corner.
