Caseg bach boulder

Snowdonia

Two boulders down by the Aber Caseg. The main one catches the sun all day ( until around 5pm) and they are in a lovely secluded spot. The central groove on the main boulder is a good feature and is a fine problem. Landings are flat.

Parking and Approach

approach as for the caseg boulder but instead of turning up left where the road forks to park at the top of the road, park carefully wherever you can without blocking either the road or taking the local residents places and walk straight ahead along the lower road past the football field to the little bridge. hop over the wall on the left(man passio sign) and follow the track through the fields and through two caps in the walls to where the path turns sharply up and left. This boulder is directly ahead and has a wall on top of it. (dont be alarmed you can only see the back of it!) 5 mins from leaving the road.
Area information

A wide range of cliffs - mainly traditional and multi pitch inc. the popular Llanberis Pass, Idwal Slabs, Clogwyn du'r Arddu and Cwm Silyn cliffs, but also outlying outcrops such as Carreg Alltrem. Many crags are on CROW access land - but not all especially some of the outcrops which lie on private enclosed land. Most of central Snowdonia is both designated an SSSI and also is an European Special Area of Conservation on account of the upland habitat and associated geology and plants found here.
