Brownstones

Lancashire

A great year round crag owned by the Woodland Trust with excellent bouldering which dries quickly after bad weather, although summer can be very hot and midgey. There are still problems with flooding at the Pool. The valve to control the level cannot be found, so there is a question about how to proceed.

Parking and Approach

Follow Scout Road for two kilometers from Wilton 4 and take the farm track on the right (just before the third set of houses along the road from Wilton). Drive 100m up the track to just beyond the first bend and there is parking space for a number of cars on the verge on the right - make sure you park off the road to allow other vehicles and farm machinery past.

Good bouldering, the bottom half now floods more than ever due to farming changes on higher tier.
