Boulby Boulders

Cleveland

A collection of various sized boulders scattered around an old disused alum quarry beneath a very large but unstable cliff.The venue is split into 3 different areas which are, Western, Galleon and Eastern.'The Pinnacle' lies between The Galleon and Western Areas about 50 metres from the main path, although the problems are not described in the guide there is a photo of it on page 358.

Parking and Approach

Public access with several footpaths, park considerately not blocking any gates. Please be wary of falling rock from the cliffs, several problems have already been lost from boulders blocking other boulders.

the footpath approach from Skinningrove is very unstable with many parts falling towards the cliff from erosion and the disused alum mines please be wary and careful
