Buy a gift from a range of exclusive Tessa Lyons-designed merchandise for Christmas and the profit will go towards the care of our hills, mountains and National Park landscapes.

A new range of Christmas merchandise has been released through the BMC shop to give an early boost to the next Mend Our Mountains campaign.

All profits from the sale of this range of T-shirts and mugs will go towards the projects featured in the Mend Our Mountains: Make One Million appeal, so you are buying cool gifts while also helping the hills.

The T-shirts and mugs are bolstered by a brand new 'Beaten Track' design by mountain artist Tessa Lyons, which evokes the satisfaction of following a well-worn trail while also hinting at the hammering many of our paths take from the sheer numbers of feet walking them.

Enabling vital repairs to these paths is the aim of Mend Our Mountains: Make One Million, the appeal to raise £1 million for heavily eroded routes across the UK’s entire family of 15 National Parks which will kick off in earnest when the ‘Big Climb’ starts next spring.

The projects featured in Mend Our Mountains: Make One Million range from the high sub-arctic plateau of the Cairngorms to the gentle coast of the Solent; from England’s highest mountain to the fabled seat of a Welsh giant; from bleakest Dartmoor to one of Scotland’s most well-walked Munros.  You can find out more about all the projects on the appeal website.

Do your bit to care for the care of our mountains. Brandish your environmental credentials when you have a cup of tea. Wear a swanky T-shirt.  Now you can give the gift of all three this Christmas.

Be sure to get your order in before December 20 to make sure it arrives in time.
