This year, the Junior British Bouldering Championships is moving venue and will take place at Rock Over Climbing Centre in the heart of Manchester. Find out how to enter here.

Packed full of action, fun and young crushers, the much-anticipated bouldering competition of the year for the rising stars of climbing is back in Manchester, but this time at Rock Over Climbing. With crowds of hopefuls and the cream of GB Climbing Team's younger boulderers, who will take the top spot on the podium in 2018?

Saturday 23 June: Rock Over Climbing Centre, Manchester

Timetable

Saturday 23 June:

Registration/warm up opens for Youth C and B: 8:30am and closes at 9:00am. Qualification starts at 9:30am.

Registration/warm up opens for Youth A and Junior: 10:00am and closes at 10:30am. Qualification starts at 11:30am.

Presentation of Finals scheduled for 18:45pm (this may be subject to change)

Categories

Competitors will compete in the international competition climbing categories for 2018, according to the year in which they were born. These are as follows:

Juniors: those born in 1999 & 2000
Youth A: those born in 2001 & 2002
Youth B: those born in 2003 & 2004
Youth C: those born in 2005 & 2006

Parental consent is required for anyone under the age of 18.

Event vests will not be provided

Cost of entry

Entry to the event costs £20 for BMC, MS or MI members, £25 for non-members.

Entries for the competition have closed.

Entry deadline

The deadline for entries is 5pm Monday 18 June.

• Please complete and submit online entry form by the deadlines stated above.
• Only online applications will be accepted. No on the day entries will be accepted.
• Parental consent must be given for any competitor aged under 18 years on the day of the event.
• All applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of their application. They will then receive a further e-mail containing full event information after entries close on 18 June.

Please note that emails do not always reach their destination, it is therefore your responsibility to contact the BMC if email notification has not been received by Friday before each event.

The GB Climbing Team is supported by the BMC, Mountaineering ScotlandBerghaus, and Rock Over Climbingand the GB Paraclimbing Team is supported by Oakwood Climbing Centre and Quay Climbing Centre. Many UK walls also support the British Climbing Team through free or subsidised entry.
