Greater Manchester Schools Climbing Championships 2016

The Greater Manchester School’s Climbing Championships is back for 2016 at Rock Over Climbing. Building on the success of this year’s inaugural event, Rock Over Climbing are offering a more inclusive platform for 2016, with increased participation opportunities for beginners and seasoned competitors alike.

Greater Manchester School’s Climbing Championships 2016 – Date Released Wednesday 15th June 2016

The 2016 championships will feature Bouldering and timed challenges on Rock Over Climbing’s amazing new Clip-Go-Climb Adventure Zone, with each school entering up to 10 pupils across the categories.

Running alongside the competition Rock Over Climbing are offering discounted bouldering taster sessions from January to April 2016 for schools which are interested in taking part. This will enable schools and pupils with little or no experience of bouldering to have go and develop the skills and knowledge needed to participate in the event.

Age categories: KS2, KS3, KS4 and Sixth Form

Price: Tier 1 £5 per person (register and pay before 31st Jan 2016), Tier 2 £8 per person (1st Feb 2016 onwards)

Whether you want to make the leap from indoor climbing into Sport or Trad climbing outdoors, we run many courses across the country and throughout the year that are specially for 11-17 year olds.

Subsidised Youth Course Places

There are a large number of free places on courses for families who may struggle to afford it. Any families who live in rented accommodation and who receive income support or universal credit may contact the instructor of a course or Alex West for a place.
