Full of grins, gurns, and a whole load of psyched athletes, the Paraclimbing series returned in 2018 with four rounds across the country. Here's how it all went.

The first round headed to the superb EICA in Ratho and was hosted by Mountaineering Scotland.

The second, third, and fourth round of the GB Paraclimbing Series, were all based further south and have been a great success! Volunteers and the host venues made it all possible thanks to their fantastic support, we'd like to say a massive thank you to: Summit Centre in South Wales, Newcastle Climbing Centre in the North East, and Manchester Climbing Centre in the North West.

The staff and management all went out of their way to ensure we had all the help we needed, and the awesome setting crew provided the great routes and boulders for the actual competition, much thanks to Tom Hudson, Debbie Langan, and Ian Dunn.

There have been a lot of great climbs from the competitors and some amazing attempts on some of the boulders. In all the rounds every route and problem has been topped but only by the best! The atmosphere in both competitions has been really friendly and supportive.

Update on GB Paraclimbing Series 2019

The Paraclimbing Series will undergo a review and details of the competition in 2019 will be announced in February.

For those athletes who wish to try out for the GB Paraclimbing Team, there will be an open selection event at the Quay Climbing Centre on Saturday 9 March 2019. More details will be released in due course.
