Craig y Longridge - now better than ever

Posted by Guy Keating on 28/05/2008
There she blows....

Following advice from Lancs. County Council, on Tuesday we set about dismantling the ancient stone walls above the crag.

Monitoring had indicated certain sections of this ancient feature were ‘on the move’ so a controlled trundling session was organised with help from our neighbouring landowner (Stan Ainsworth) and his team. They did an excellent job and the walls were down in no time.

The new slopes above the crag still contain some loose material - be cautious for the time being.

See a photo gallery of the work.
