British Bouldering Championships 2012: results

The British Bouldering Championships took place in Sheffield's Graves Park over the weekend of 7 and 8 July 2012.

This year, a new layer of age groupings was combined with the long-standing Senior and Junior categories.

The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) age categories were recognised and trophies awarded to the top three competitors in each.

The senior competition took place on the Saturday where all competitors were born before 1995. This includes the International IFSC "Junior" category (born in 1993 and 1994).

BBC Senior Championship:

Female

The junior competition took place on Sunday. In addition to the Junior Championship, IFSC “Youth” categories A, B and C were represented.

Some great performances but having three overlapping routes for the girls meant that many didn't get all their attempts and everyone ended up in a single queue with much of the wall free- hardly a spectacle!
