The Castle Climbing Centre in London staged an exciting finale to the British Bouldering Championships yesterday.

Andy Earl was almost unstoppable, flashing four of the five problems in the final, to give him his second win in the series and his third consecutive Mens title. Ryan Pasquill was the only other competitor to complete four problems in the final, but not having competed in round one meant he could only finish sixth overall in the series. Another solid performance from Martin Smith gave him the runner-up position, having scored top three finishes in all three rounds. BICC champion Gareth Parry took third place in the series. Rachel Seymour’s win in London wasn’t enough for her to overtake series leaders Audrey Seguy and Sabine Bacher, with Audrey just pipping Sabine for the Womens national title. The Castle also staged the Junior British Bouldering Championships on Saturday, with Natalie Berry and Martin Watson taking the Female and Male titles.
