Experience Britain’s Mountain Challenges on BMC TV

Braving Crib Goch

What are the greatest experiences you can have in the hills? The undisputed, irrefutable, stone-cold classics every hillwalker and scrambler has to experience in their mountain career? The BMC teamed up with Trail magazine to find out.

The result is Britain’s Mountain Challenges: a series of authoritative videos dripping in high definition sweeping panoramas and knee-weakening headcam shots. Pooling the expertise at both the BMC and Trail – as well as calling upon local guides and mountain rescue members – these videos are a great introduction to the Britain’s best hard walks and easy scrambles.

Important: these are films of the routes in snow-free, summer conditions. They may not reflect their current condition. Always check a detailed forecast and conditions report before attempting them. See below for scrambling safety advice.

So whether you’d like to research the route before you attempt it, relive your own traverse or show your non-mountaineering friends and family exactly why you do what you do, these short films are just what you need.

WATCH Britain's Mountain Challenges on BMC TV:

In this series: Crib Goch, Jack's Rake, Llech Ddu Spur, CMD Arête, Aonach Eagach, Tryfan and Bristly Ridge, Threading the Needle, Striding Edge and Sharp Edge.
