Pinfold Quarry

Lancashire

User attention

The route Acid Test at the left end of Pinfold Qy is dangerously loose and climbers are advised to keep clear until the loose rocks has been removed or fallen naturally. from 04/03/2021

With similar rock to nearby Deeply Vale but higher, more extensive and being a suntrap, Pinfold Quarry makes an ideal evening venue. The quarry has it's share of sections of broken rock but there are plenty of solid bits with the quarry's characteristic roofs making for entertaining routes and bouldering.

Parking and Approach

From the parking area, walk along the lane for 200 metres to a white gate on the right. Go through the gate and walk along the left edge of the field into the next field, then turn right and walk by the fence until the quarry can be entered at its left end.

The farmer has recently installed a fence at the top of the crag to stop his livestock from falling off the crag - please use the newly installed stile to cross this.
