It is an exciting time for international work within the BMC with much going on to define and implement the new international strategy and to reintroduce the seminars and Expedition hub.
The International Committee was set up in 1973 and was first chaired by Alan Blackshaw. The successful candidate will have an important role in a review of the committee and the implementation of a new International Strategy. They will also be required to attend International Strategy Group meetings (4 per year).

Additionally, the International Committee Chair is strongly encouraged to attend as many Council meetings as practical to ensure that the international voice and perspective is heard when discussing our wider sport.
If you are a BMC member with a passion for mountains and international affairs and issues, we would love to hear from you.
