Warning: Storm Ophelia hits Tremadog

Storm Ophelia made quite an impact across the west coast of the the British Isles on 17 October and the BMC owned crags at Tremadog didn't escape unscathed. Damage to routes, trees uprooted and even some rockfalls were her legacy.

A new report commissioned by the Welsh Government recommends sweeping changes to the core purpose and governance of National Parks and other protected landscapes in Wales. The Future Landscapes Wales report has raised serious concerns amongst conservation bodies and recreation groups about the very purpose and future protection of these special places.

Tremadog rockfall on One Step in The Clouds-updated

The substantial and very dangerous loose blocks that posed an imminent threat of a serious and substantial rockfall on the first pitch of the popular route "One Step in the Clouds" at Craig Bwlch y Moch have now been removed however climbers are still warned not to climb the first pitch of this route until the area has cleaned up.
