Dyffryn Woods crag

South East Wales

A sandstone sports climbing escarpment above the Neath Valley. A good venue for the 6a/6b climber in a sunny woodland setting. Do not put the climbing at risk by driving on the Woodland Trust tracks but park up either behind the church or the farm and make the pleasant 20min walk to the crag, this also saves wrecking your tyres and suspension.

No equipment such as hanging ropes or quick draws are to be left insitu. In the event of forestry works being carried out, all public acces to the woods would be temporarily restricted for safety reasons.

Parking Issues summer 2017 - please park sensibly according to the information in the South Wales Climbing Wiki and Climbers Club guide description NOT per the Rockfax map. Doing so is likely to cause issues with locals going forward. Do NOT park in front of the houses on the approach track. The local residents and farmers have had problems with climbers cars blocking their parking spaces.

Parked where rockfax south wales sport climbs directs and was asked my local farmer to move. Park further back down the lane at the start of the national trust walk/ car park
