Applegarth Scar

Cleveland

A small, largely overgrown outcrop that will appeal to lovers of esoterica. Some good little routes although friable and loose in places, actually pretty much everywhere.

Parking and Approach

Take the right hand of two minor roads heading north out of Marske for approximately 1 1/2km and up a steep hill. A farm track will be seen on the right. Avoiding obstructing the entrance or road for the frequent farm traffic, park off road on the verge, uphill of the farm track. The crag is a couple of hundred metres along the track, up on the left and accessed by paths.
