For many years the parking and transport situation for climbers and hill walkers in northern Snowdonia has become increasingly difficult as increasing numbers of people and cars compete for limited parking spaces. "Green Key" was supposed to be the scheme that solved these issues. Has it worked?

In an exciting new initiative this year the BMC International Sea Cliff Climbing Meet was held in West Cornwall for the first time. The Meet took place 9th to 16th May 2010 and was based at the Count House, a 200 year old Climbers' Club Hut perched above Bosigran.
The BMC is pleased to announce that from Friday 28th May, the majority of this West Yorkshire grit crag will be available to climbers at any time.
The eagerly awaited BMC definitive guide to climbing on Eastern Gritstone "Froggatt to Black Rocks" has arrived in all its shimmering glory.
Setting up and managing a club can throw up many questions. In order to help answer these questions the BMC has created some useful club guidelines. Clubs helped to create the BMC and are still very much a part of the organisation.
Supported by the BMC, the Baffin Big Walls Expedition has completed the first ascent of a previously unnamed formation close to Great Sail Peak in Baffin Island's Stewart Valley.
