BMC ACT at Castle Garden Party

Posted by Tony Ryan on 05/08/2011

The BMC Access & Conservation Trust (ACT) is about to be relaunched, and you can find out more about ACT at the Castle Climbing Centre’s Annual Garden Party in London.

ACT is a charitable trust established by the BMC.  It funds projects to protect our cliffs and mountains. ACT promotes sustainable access to cliffs, mountains and open countryside by facilitating education and conservation projects across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The Castle Garden Party takes place on Sunday 14 August (12pm – 7pm). There’s a free BBQ, have-a-go slacklining, a dyno comp, and a DJ to keep things lively. You’ll be able to find out more about ACT, what we’ve got planned for the future, and how you can contribute. You could also win a limited edition print of a pen and ink drawing of the Roaches by artist and guidebook illustrator Phil Gibson.

COMING SOON - as a special fundraising initiative for ACT, the BMC has commissioned Phil Gibson to produce a limited edition print of the magnificent Craig Bwlch y Moch at Tremadog. Watch this space for details of how you can get your hands on one of these collectors’ items which are to be individually signed by climbing legends Joe Brown, Eric Jones and Ron Fawcett.
