BMC affiliated clubs looking for financial help to purchase equipment have until 16 March to apply to the BMC for this year's allocation of funding from Sport England.

In 2012, the BMC has £5000 to allocate for purchase of mountaineering equipment (Category B).  This category assists clubs in taking on and supporting novices and young members who may not yet possess all of the mountaineering equipment they need.

The closing date for applications is 16 March 2012.

Any club wishing to apply for Category B funding should first read the application information and then download the application form.

Applications are also open for the other two categories of funding (websites/newsletters and instructor support), with a closing date of 20 April 2012.

This is the final year of four years of funding to support BMC affiliated clubs made available thanks to the BMC's successful application to Sport England in 2008.   The BMC is soon to submit a bid for future funding from Sport England.
