The BMC London & South East Area Meeting will take place at The Old King’s Head, Borough, central London on Thursday 7 September 2017, starting at 7.00pm.
Come along to our regular gathering of climbers and walkers in the London and South East area. The evening includes a discussion of local and national issues, a guest speaker, a bar and food, and a prize draw raffle, so it should be a great night out.
BMC area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in your area as well as the rest of the country.
Guest speaker for the evening is Masha Gordon
In 2016, Masha became the fastest woman to complete the Explorers' Grand Slam; in just 7 months and 19 days, she climbed the Seven Summits and trekked to the North and South Poles.
Masha has also launched a charity - GRIT&ROCK - to encourage inner city teenage girls to challenge themselves, increase self-confidence and help those in deprived areas develop love for active lifestyle.
All are welcome; food will be provided by the BMC.
