Don’t miss the North West’s premier climbing get-together of the year! WiltonFest 2016 is on Saturday 3 September.
Once again we’ll be setting up base camp in Wilton 2, to enable us to utilise the gun club’s hut, with free brews throughout the day and knowledgeable locals to point any Wilton newcomers at the best lines. Then later on it’s time to fire up the BBQ, crack open the beers, dish out the raffle prizes and sit down to a slideshow by Lancs legend Mark Leach as the sun goes down.
Activities start from 11am and include:
- Guided hill walk around the moors
- Guided bouldering tour
- Climbing masterclasses
- Instructor-led sessions for new outdoor climbers
Booking: Online booking for instructor-led sessions and masterclasses will be available from 18 July.
Eating & drinking: Bring your own mug for brews / glass for beers, unless you’re happy drinking from a plastic cup, and a chair for the slideshow.
Camping: Festival-goers are free to camp in Wilton 1 on Saturday night.
Parking: is available at the BMC-owned car park to the left of the Wilton Arms (facing the pub) or on the side of Scout Road opposite the entrance to the quarries and in Wilton 2 and 4 (but will have to be vacated at the end of the slideshow).
