The 2016 Darwen Mountain Film Festival will be held at the Belmont Bull pub in Belmont on Saturday 20 February, starting at 8.30pm.

The festival is free to attend and brings together local climbers to show and enjoy films and images.

Highlight this year will be Resurrection, a new film by Rick Ginns which tells the story of the efforts of local climbers to turn Wilton 4 into a popular crag once again. Nick Bamber will present a slide show on caving and Dave Toon will show some climbing images, and there’s also a great film from BMC TV featuring BMC ambassador Steve McClure and Neil Mawson attempting a spectacular multi-pitch route in France’s Verdon Gorge.
