The BMC Peak Area Meeting will take place at The Maynard in Grindleford on Wednesday 20 January 2016, starting at 7.30pm.
Come along to our next gathering of Peak climbers and walkers, to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC. The evening includes a discussion of local and national issues, a bar and food, so it should be a good night out.
There will be a bit of an "Eastern Edges" theme, as we'll have updates from Rebekah Newman on the Stanage / North Lees estate and from Danny Udall on the Eastern Moors Partnership. They'll also be talking about their future plans, so if you have any ideas or comments to make, this will be a good opportunity. We will also have access updates from around the region as well as from our hill walking representatives.
Guest speaker for the evening is Bill Gordon, the warden for the Stanage / North Lees Estate, who will tell us a bit about what goes on behind the scenes at Stanage and some of its history.

The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in the Peak and the rest of the country.
There will also be an opportunity to buy ring ouzel t-shirts and mugs, and of course your Stand up for Stanage 2016 stickers! You can pay for these by card, so don't worry if you haven't got enough cash in your wallet.
All are welcome. Food will be provided.
