The 209th meeting of the BMC Yorkshire Area will be held in the Garden Room at The Wheatley Arms in Ben Rhydding on Monday 7 September2015, starting at 7.30pm.
In addition to a lively discussion of local and national issues affecting climbers and hill walkers, we have arranged a presentation by the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association.
The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in Yorkshire as well as the rest of the country.

UWFRA member Alan Scowcroft will outline what happens after you dial 999, how the call is processed, how the team is called out and what to expect. He will also provide advice about what do in the event of an accident (and what not to do). Then UWFRA Assistant Equipment Warden, Howard Driver, will talk about the Association's historic background and the work it does now.
