The BMC Peak Area Meeting will take place at The Maynard in Grindleford on Wednesday 15 April 2015, starting at 7:30pm.
Come along to our next gathering of Peak climbers and walkers, to discuss the latest issues and get involved in the work of the BMC.
The area meetings are run by volunteers and are your chance to join in with debate and influence decisions about what happens in the Peak and rest of the country.
Terry Abraham presentation
We are very pleased that award-winning filmmaker Terry Abraham will be our guest speaker. Terry will be showing clips of films. He will also be interviewed by BMC hill walking development officer Carey Davies, and we’ll run a Q&A session with the audience.
Terry's film 'Life of a Mountain: A year on Scafell Pike' was recently shown on BBC Four, to rave reviews from the press and record-breaking viewing figures.

The BMC – The natural home for hill walkers
Our new hill walking strategy aims to make the BMC the natural home for hill walkers. Complimenting Terry's talk, Carey Davies and BMC CEO Dave Turnbull will present our plans for hill walkers, asking the question - ‘what do hill walkers want from the BMC?’
All are welcome. Food will be provided.
