BMC Youth Climbing Series - Enter Online for 2012!

The BMC Youth Climbing Series is a popular and fun competition for young climbers of all abilities, with three regional rounds and a national final. The 2012 dates and venues have been set, and entries are now being accepted.

Dates of the Rounds
Round 1 -  25th February 2012
Online registrations for Round 1 have now closed. To take part in Round 1 please turn up on the day and complete a paper registration at the wall.
Round 2 - 17th March 2012
Round 3 - 21st April 2012

Some people have been getting last years dates as they are getting old cahced versions of this page on the computer, you need to refresh the page and this should bring up the 2012 dates.

Why has the final been moved from last years venue? Thought the venue and day was well organised and was massively enjoyed by myself and family?

The final alternates between EICA Ratho and another venue each year, so this year it is the turn of EICA again. Also with the increase in the number of competitors in the final this year by one third, currently EICA is the only wall in the UK capable of running such a large event in a single day. In future years if we want to run the final elsewhere we may have to look at running the final over two days. But we will see how this years final goes before looking into this.

Are the dates for the welsh rounds correct as I was given Dynamic rock as the first round and Boulders for the second?

The dates for the South Wales area are correct. Boulders on the 25th February and Dynamic Rock on the 17th March.

I would arrive between 0900 and 0930 for registration - lots of competitors in the SE, big day.
